Hi Folks!
I finally finished my new PC with an ASUS A8N32-SLI-DeluXe, well, hope you can answer all of my questions, I have a Manchester 3800-X2 at 2600, prime stable at 1.3275 on bios, but PC probe on windows show me 1.36, It doesnt matter that, but the thing is:
1.- when idle, the Vcore goes up to 1.39/1.41, Why is That?
2.- Why Sandra Show my cpu like its supposed to work between 1.45-1.55 Vcore and 1.8-2.8 Ghz, can I overclock that much and be safe at 1.45 on air?
3.- here is a screenshot so you can view the max temps Im having, are they ok? or are too high, im Concerned on the MB, because never is under 44, is this ok too?l
l
.- thank you very much.-

When you overclocked to 2.6Ghz (nice overclock for a dual core) did you up the voltage? if not then the probe and sandra are showing incorrect specs. Temps seem pretty high, what cooling do you have?

Yeap, I up the voltage to 1.3275, Ive read somewhere that its known bug, that PC probe show 0.2 more voltage, or the bios -0.2, but well is ok, the thing is the fluctuation, if thats ok, no problem, i didnt read about the fluctuation, and I Was worried.-
The cooling installed is a Thermaltake SonicTower with the 12cm fan in it, MB seems to be pretty high, for me too, I saw same overclocks with 35 max, maybe i Have to install the "Do Not Install this fan unless you are watercooling or Passivecooler"? what do you think

Edited:
About the Sandra Thing, check the picture, is not the Vcore that Im actually running, IS the Vcore that Sandra shows from the name of the cpu I was asking.-
1.55 for the cpu is ok? or is just too much on air?

Installing the fan as shown here http://www.thermaltake.com/coolers/4in1heatpipe/cl-p007...
will absolutley lower temps. You can install a low rpm 120mm fan blowing toward your rear fan to exaust hot air. Do you have intake fans?
Sandra shows incorrect information about your cpu. Manchester core operates at 1.35/1.4v. If you managed 2.6Ghz @ 1.32v then i'd stay with it. I think you can give it 1.45 if needed.

thanks
I have it that way,
idle= 40 cpu and 45 MB
Load=55 cpu and 47 MB

are this ok? now I have it at 1.41, and is Rock Solid Stable at 2.6, if the temps are fine, we can close the thread, and thank you very much for your help°!!

The CPU is at 55 load :!: , isnt that a little too hot. I know the motherboard is known to get hot, I have one to, ive seen them idle higher than that. Your CPU though :? , I think you're pushing it. Thats just me though.

Where I live, the streets are cover with ice most of the time, some times I wonder why is it, that they named it "tierra del fuego" (Land of fire)
back to topic, What is NB to SB Overclock? on bios, is this ok or worth it to oc?

anyway, the max tcase for the 3800 is 63, is this related to the max temp i can go, a review in some other site tells not to pass 50 on the 3800 x2, but mine is working at that temp, even on 200x10 (default) so whats the story?
