I use a Samsung SP2504C since 2 moths.
I have found severe and a strange errors while I copy files!
Some bytes are damaged! But the most wondering is the way, it happens! Always one bit is damaged! Here are pictures (comparing destination and source files) http://www.pcformat.pl/forum/attachment.php?aid=352. You can easily see, what I mean. On the left side are destination files (copied), on the right site a source files.

I have checked the hard drive on different computers and the error is very reproducible!
I have also asked Samsung support, if the error is know. No answer…
So, all SP2504C users be careful!

I googled my way here with the same issue and thought I would update this thread, in case others find their way here as well.

Samsung posted a microcode update for these particular drives. You should be able to locate it on Samsung's support site. I had the same issues, finding ZIP files damaged (with CRC errors) after copying them to my server. Updated the SP2504C microcode provided on Samsung's site and it fixed the issue.
