Let us ignore the specification or age. Or whether it's from ATI or nVidia, which card do u like most in terms of looks/design?

I like simple things and somehow i hate those cards with colorful printings on it like the 1800XT. Thus, my fav card goes to XFX's 7800GT:

It has a 'transparent' like hologram surface, with proper lightning & a windowed side, unimaginable.

I personally love my Geforce 6800GS. Sure, there are definately better cards out there, but this one overclocks like a beast, and looks good while doing it.

I've always been a fan of simple looking cards.

Well, for minimalistic design, I'd recon the 9800 and X800 coolers were quite cool - flat, heavy etc. The coolers first introduced in the X850 were also quite nice (looking). But hands down, the 7900GTX just looks awesome, with that central fan leading heat pipes out to the fin area. Wish ATI could make such coolers, it's efficient at doing two things: looking mean and cooling.... :lol:

ooh.. i kind of fond with my X850XT PE.. The only complain is that it's loud but other than that it cools the gfx well and helps expel air around the expansion slot area. I only changed to the FS-V7 for noise and overclocking sake...

Woah... That card looks as if it would trample any other graphics card on it's way.. hahaha! What card is that anyway?

huh? The fans on the 9800series are pretty damn small and not heavy at all.

@xientist, not only is it collecting dust but the transparent plastic will turn yellow over time. Better clean it frequently.

I can't remember my first graphics card back in 1997 but it was just a simple design with the card and a aluminum heatsink. It was the coolest card I think for it was able to play old 3d games but yet it was generating small amount of heat and no noise. I hope to see those kinds of cards in the future with cards 3 times faster than 7900GTX and yet produces less heat that it would only need a heatsink just like the old days.

:D

Evans & Sutherland simFusion 6xxx series (that's a 6500 IIRC).

There's also now a simFusion 7000 card based on 16 of the X8 series (if I read the specs right) (4 VPUs per card put as a 4 card solution);

However, it's not a very 'practical card', heck you need special monitor daughter card, C'mon at least the simFusion6000 series has dual DVI. :twisted:
