Has anyone checked out the new burners that will burn a label on your cds.
it is done by laser etching.newegg has a benq brand on sell for $84.00
after rebate
maybe it would be cheaper to burn the label instead of using a printer.I
have the epson R200 that I use for printing.anyone have a comment on this.

The best price i've seen on LightScribe CD-r media is 50cents/each.
Newegg actually has a verbatium 30pack spindle rather than jewel cases.
I seem to remember it was higher than $1.00/disc for CD-r before
today, now i'm seeing closer to 80cents/$1.00/disc with jewel cases.
There is a $10.00 rebate on the Verbatium media in case you want
something to try it on for size.

You can pre-order the DVD+R LightScribe media for about $18.00 per
10pack at some stores,, but no one I know of sells it yet. I've been
told it takes 10+min to put an image on a disc, and use of the
lightscribe option reduces laser life by 66%, but these are unconfermed
rumors. The media is monochrome only.

I thought about lightscribe a few months back. I thought how nice a
fixed cost per printing media would be. What turned me off was the
burn time, the simple lack of media, and the cost per disc.
