Hey, I was playing the awesome prey demo agien (awesome game so far) untell a level load came up and I got all these blocky wierd colored lines on the screen. First I think it may be Prey (it is a demo after all). I restart and I get the graphical errors on the windows start up. I shut down check to make sure all the fans are running and notice my power supply feels really hot. Comp is working fine atm, played the game agian and it worked fine without the errors.

Is it possible for a power supply to create graphical errors if it is overheating?

Thanks!

I have a BFG gForce 6800gt OC AGP on a Asus A8v. It was also very hot in the room.

So if this is the video card what cooling solutions would you suggest?

Thanks for the reply btw :D

np,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductCompare.asp?SubCat...

i kno one is about half the price of the others but it depends how good air flow u have in the case.

if u have good intake then the Zalman is a better choice. if u have a decent intake get the arctic cooling.

the arctic cooling will blow air out of the case, but the zalman is better if there is already air in the case.

Yeah it's your gpu going overboard due to heat and produces that lines which is known as artifacts.
