We've all seen it: articles about how disappointing the products and behavior of big-name electronics and PC giants have been recently. From the Sony rootkit scandal to MS's IE7 and controversies surrounding Vista's EULA, more and more pundits are making thier money by reporting on the mistakes and misdeeds of these moguls. So how many years in a row do you think big companies can afford to screw up and fail to live up to expectations before their enormous well of money dries up and they find themselves eatting up a big piece of humble pie?

Is it me, or do the big technology companies seem to be able to get away with more and lose less? I guess that's what happens when you're in a quasi-monopoly market.
We need some foreign competition to shape these MS clowns up. And, in the case of Sony, some domestic competition

Now that tech companies are mature, revist your thought in another 25-30 years.
Apple fcuked up for about 5 years, after stevie j left and john sculley took over. It wasnt until Gil Amelio took over as CEO that apple got back on track.
