AMD AHTLON64 3700+ vs PENTIUM D920

It will be used for gaming,word..etc
and i know that amds is better in gaming ATM.
But i will be planning to o/c at least a little w/ stock cooling.
Which will be a better choice?

From the place that i know,
I can get 3700+ for $155CDN
and D920 for $210

is it worth 60 more bucks?

oh and they are both 64-bit right? and also fast enough for vista

Umm thats not true dude. Not sure what cpu chart you looked at but the one I looked at shows the 3700+ smoking the 920 in game benchmarks. However since its a dual core cpu it does better in pretty much everything else. If it was my choice Id take the 920 with a motherboard that supports conroe cause your gonna wanna upgrade soon. 8)

Wow. $155 for a 3700+ is amazing. Take it then. NCIX wants $261 for the 3700+, and $334 for the 920, and they are usually the cheapest in Canada. They only want $230 for the 930 though. 920's are more expensive because they were discontinued, and are harder to find. Yes both are 64 bit, and fast enough for Vista. GL
