I am slightly confused about what exactly 'Softswitch' means. As I am
aware, Softswitch is a collection of products/components which can
equivalently perform the functions of a Hardware switch. But,
Softswitch seems to function as a medium for the devices to access
Telecom services over an IP network. Could anybody elaborate on it?
