k, this one is for my friend.
He needs a budget cpu and these are his choices.
It's going to be used for playing games and multitasking without any hiccups.
Pentium D802 $140CDN
Athlon64 3700+ $155CDN
He is going to pair up with a 7600gt like my sub comp.
Which one would be a better choice?
He also wants to o/c if possible w/ a stock cooler.

If he wants to game, he's going to need a decent mainstream board which is in the $100 range for either processor, the 805 will overclock well and can easily function in gaming + its dual core so multitasking will be hiccup free.
My board just gave up last night, keep getting "system failed cpu test" on my ASUS board so i'm getting a 805 myself, just looking for an AGP, DDR board so i wont have to replace everything.
