Im struggling with this! The remote doesnt do anything, and if I plug headphones in the sound still comes from the speakers, and speakers only. No headphone sound at all.
I have checked the box in settings that says mute speakers when headphones connected. Nothing.
The remote doesnt seem to do a damn thing either, im actually wondering if the breakout box is functioning at all. It is obviously connected to the sound card with the enclosed ribbon type cable.
Any ideas please?
Im still getting horrendous feedback too with mic volume at any level and speakers more than 10-15% volume.
Is the power light on? Does the red light flash when you hit the remote?
The remote only functions with certain software, I don't know what 'cause I use my ATI one instead. But do you have the creative software installed for the remote?

Grrrrrrr.......
Hmmm...I'd say try the following:
1) disconnect/reconnect both the ribbon cable and the floppy-drive power connector that is used
2) if you're not already using Creative's very latest drivers than un-install the current drivers and install the latest set from Creative's website
3) the remote. I'm not sure if the remote only works fully with the Creative Media-Center type software or not (a forum member with the same set could clarify)
