If your massive screen has a huge resolution you might want the GX2 option instead mightnt you. From what iv seen dual core dosent give much improvement as far as games go..

Actual games aren't CPU limited. The bottleneck is always the GPU.

Both are very good options but I probably would go with the GX2.

Currently most games aren't multi-thread optimized either. So if this rig is mainly for gaming the 3800+ single core would probably be a better choice than the 4200+. However, if you spend about equal time multi-tasking as you do gaming then the 4200 and the 7900 would work pretty well. My sys specs are 4200+ with 7800GT and it works pretty well in gaming, I can play BF2 at med-high details, I haven't tried pushing higher so it might be able to. I can also turn around and rip DVD's, compress files, surf the net, and run solidworks(CADD) at the same time without too much of a slowdown.
