More about 7200rpm 5400rpm performance gain
  1. Not sure on exact % but there is a performance difference and it is very noticble. If you are looking at new drives do not get a 5400 rpm drive. Why a manufacture would even make one is beyond me. 7200 rpm drives have been out for many years now.
  2. how about 2.5" Hdd is the same?
  3. 7200 rpm, 2.5 drive should perform nearlly as well as a normal 3.5 drive.
    Capacity is the main difference.
Same performance difference when talking about 5400 and 7200 2.5 inch drives.
