I'm building a new computer on the AM2 socketing and am planning to use a PSU that i got from my cousin, which came with an Aspire case and that he gave to me when he replaced this one. It is 500W, and has 2 12V rails rated 18A and 16A. The rig I'm planning to build has a 3500 Orleans (which will be overclocked), an eVGA 7900 KO, and a 74 gig raptor (i don't know if sata devices go on the 5V or the 12V). Thanks if any1 knows.

I had one that came with my X navigator Case.
Lived for a year.
I think it daied after about 1 month of very heavy using, almost 24 hours a day.

I've got a couple of Aspire 500W PSUs. So far they have been trouble-free, but the oldest one has only been in service for about five months. I do plan on using something better in my next build (or I may just replace these).
My system only draws 174 watts according to my UPS software, but the PSU area of my case does seem a little warm. The exhaust fan is blowing.

My aspire 550W has been working 24/7 for over a year now. But it did not come with a case it was separetly bought. I would not recomend using power supplys that come with cases because they usualy fail.
