This is a sweet deal. Even though Conroe is faster, I'd still get the X2 3800 for only $169 and OC it.

How do you know the conro at $170 would be a better buy? there is no benches on the lower end versions of the conroe yet. The prices are pretty awsome im curious if they are gonna lower the cost of the opteron I wanted to get a 165.

They need another price drop, at least 50% to justify buying them.
X2 3800+ @ 100-ish would be a reasonable deal compared to Conroe.
