Hi
after reading lots of reviews ı decided Ocz is the best and I got a 2GB Dual Channel Kit PN- OCZ4002048PFDC-K (3-3-3-8@2.6 volt) but ı have a problem. There is no problem in single channel mode. In the reviews it is writing that it works quite well even at 250 mhz 1:1 at 1T but I tried many different settings but it did not work at 1T in dual mode at all. It simply restarts again and again or doesn't load windows. Please help... (I did not have such a problem with my old two sticks of 512 Kingston )

i had similar problems with a Venice core (i think it was 3000+ or 3200+) a MSI nf4 board and a pair of geil PC3200 modules.......

it worked just fine in single channel but no boot in dual channel...
the problem was solved after i updated the bios....

good luck

yap...try other versions of bios.....

i had this problem with many sistems.....and different mem brands....most of them were solved by updating the bios..

you can start your sistem in single channel ...... and modify the command rate.....make it 2T...

good luck

It is working dual now but at 2T

ı can live with that but the strangest thing is that it doesn't overclock just a little bit with very relaxing timings and high voltage. above 210 seems impossible but according to the reviews it should do 490 do u have any idea?

2T working ...good ...
1T is better of course but first we have to make it work (stable and in dual channel)......

now if it works in 2T ...increase a little the CAS timing..make it from 2 ...2.5....or even 3......it`s just a matter of stability ... and then try the 1T command
you should not try to oc it unless you have a stable memory...increasing the CAS timing will drop in performance but if i were to choose between the CAS and the command rate i would go for the command rate

i have a question for you my friend ...how many modules do you have instaled in your sistem now....?

ideally your modules should work exatly as labeled...but if you have too many modules instaled you`ll have to drop the command rate (from 1T to 2T) in order to ensure the stability of your sistem

good luck

first i would put all the components on default...cpu....ht...video (irrelevant though)..everything...then i whould check the sistem stability with the mem on default timings....3338...(dual channel 1T..cause this is the fastest they can get(the fastest CAS for your module is 3T))

after all these..i would try to overclock it

good luck

ı have two 1024 mb sticks dual channel so two slot is filled. Ram is rated at 3-3-3-8@2.6volt ddr400. I tried 3-5-5-10 to work at 1T but it seems no way possible above 210 with even 3-5-5-10 2t seems impossible too. Can it be true?

I tried all known technics but it did not work. I am not a noob. İt passes memtest 3-3-3-8 1t but doesn't load windows or boot. thanks anyway

yap ..life sucks....but 1T is the fastest that module can go....try 220..or whatever ..but 250 is way to much for that module........mind the CAS please..and leave it at 3T..otherwise it will not work :D

try 3338 1T..220Mhz or 210Mhz...

good luck to you

get voltage to 2.7 for this memory. Or even 2.8. tat will help

In the reviews it is writing that it works quite well even at 250 mhz 1:1 at 1T
The reviews that I read had it topping out with 1T ~DDR460 - however they were quite old reviews & it's quite possible that the modules may have changed.
You may also want to get something like A64tweaker & play around with some of the settings.

btw, you have run memtest to check that the RAM is OK?
Of course it could also be that the CPU has a poor memory controller.

ı did everything I can but it seems hopeless. the weird thing is it passes memtest with 3-3-3-8 1t but doesn't boot. a guy from ocz said :Keep in mind that the ability to run at 1T Command Rates is going to be heavily dependent on your CPU memory controller. While 512MB memory modules may run at 1T, running two Double Sided modules on the AN8 on a Venice Core may force you to run at 2T. The Performance Series modules are entry level and just a step above the Value Series and is not tested nor specified to run at 1T.

I replied "Thanks for the reply but ı want to mention that they work at 1T in single channel. the problem exist only when they are in dual mode. Besides in the reviews that give links on your site, it is writing that they can work even 250 mhz 1:1 at 1T in dual mode but no matter how hard I try (relax the timings or give over voltage) they neither worked at 1T nor above 210 mhz with very relax timings and over voltage. What do u think the problem is?"
then he said: Your CPU on-die memory controller can't run 1T in Dual Channel mode withDouble-Sided memory modules. If the RAM runs at 1T in Single Channel modebut not in Dual Channel it is more than likely due to weakness/inability ofthe CPU memory controller. what do u think?
