i have £2500 to spend on a self build computer i was looking for your inputs i need everything from case to keyboard,monitor to cpu.
all suggestions will be appreciated things like raid, operating system, Dual core, water cooling and matching monitor/keyboard/case would be appreciated
the one part i do have is my logitech z680's (which are awesome btw).
im very interested in the variety of ooptions that you suggest
the challenge is on

P.s. im not interested in waiting 3 weeks for conroe this sounds very impatient but there is a reason

well bc you are not going to wait for the new stuff this will get you on your way. I have no clue how much £2500 is in $ so this might be over priced once you get every thing, but £2500 sounds like a lot so here it goes with some ball park off the top of my head prices in $$

Mobo- DFI lan party (sli or not depends on how much $$ you want to spend on graphics I say save the money just get 1 card) $200

CPU- AMD Opteron 170 $300

cpu cooler-good Zaleman aorund $50 so you can oc the opty

Video- no sli get an ATI 1800 or 1900 $300 to $500 or nividia 7950gx2 $550

RAM - Corsair XMS 2x1gb $200

If that is going to overshoot the price drop down to a opty 165 and cut down the gfx power a little that will cut a lot of $$ out

the rest of you ppl feel free to bash my suggestions I know its comming sooner or later for one reason or another
