Cost per printer for CD printing patent?

Does anyone know about how much it would cost Canon (per printer)
for the CD printing patent in the USA? Does Canon pay a per printer
fee for the printers they sell in Europe or Asia? If they do have
to pay per printer in Europe or Asia, about how much do they have to
pay?

Does Epson have to pay something for each printer they sell with CD
printing technology in the USA or do they have some other deal? If
they do have to pay per printer, about how much do they have to pay?

I used to think that most MDs were incompetent morons. I was wrong,
they are actually very intelligent and good at what they do which is
make lots of money and get lots of prestige by shoveling enormous
amounts of BS very, very rapidly.
