Hey guys need some help here.

Heres the situation. I have an AMD 3700+ Sandy and I cool it with an Arctic Freezer 64 Pro cpu cooler. I used to have a DFI Lan Party NF4 Ultra UT motherboard until an electrical serge said he didnt like my motherboard and blew it up. I had a project due for school the next week and since they will kick you out of college for missing that kind of stuff I had to run to comp USA and buy a new motherboard and I come to find out it cannot OC very well.

So my question is to you. What would be a recommendationf or overclocking and under $100 that could get to me 2.65ghz - 2.75ghz stable. My chip on my DFI was able to hit 2.8ghz stable i just didnt like running it that high because of heat so my proc should be fine. The rest of my system u can read in the sig.

I have looked a these 2.

I just found this board as well and it seems to be quite impressive for the ATI chipset.

retail board: http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=247035

Review for it: http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=2617&p=1

any thoughts?

You should check this thing out man. The placement of a few things kinda sucks but the board is a quality board and can overclocks very well. I easily had a 3000 venice rev E3 doing 2.3 Ghz stable and there have been other people getting the same chip to do 2.6-2.7 on this board. Plus its an Nforce4 Ultra board so you should not have the memory issues.
