Mobo and not booting up first time

When I boot up my Dell 3000, the first time it gets to the Windows XP logo and that's it. I have to restart and choose "Last Good Config" to start Windows. Why and how can I fix this?

We need more information. Were you mucking around in the BIOS before this happened? Did you install any software that might have caused the problem? Just on general principles, I would consider entering the BIOS and selecting 'default configuration', if that's an option on your PC. Have you tried Dell techsupport?
