I have a Windows 2000 native mode domain with 2 domain controllers. One of
the domain controllers is a Windows 2000 Terminal Server and the other is
Windows 2000 Server. I am going to be adding a new windows 2003 domain
controller server to the current domain. I am not planning on upgrading the
2 windows 2000 domain controllers to windows 2003 for a few months. This is
a one domain network (not part of a forest). Is there anything I have to do
prior to bringing this new 2003 DC into the domain?

You need to update the schema by doing this:
1. Adprep /forestprep
2. Adprep /domainprep
And give time for replication.
