So according to this --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megabit 2370 kilobits is only 2.3 Megabits? Something tells me that is not right?

So am I right in assuming 10/100 LAN can handle cable modem at full speed? (I don't know what LAN the current computer I tested) Because if I needed Gigabyte LAN I would definitely get it.
