I just read on the inq that some japanese people found out how to bridge an x1300 to pci from agp using only 1 lane. and to think I have no agp or pci-e slots. AND, Im running an old fx5500. O, happy days. Btw, what does a x1300 perform similar to on the ati side? X700?
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. So you're using PCI video cards? What ties you to that system? Better I think to just upgrade to current standards. The modern cards on AGP cost more than PCI-e due to a couple factors. I would expect that a X1300 converted to PCI may be very expensive for it's lower level of performance. I wouldn't invest any more $ in your system. But that's me.
I just like got a Sony Vaio value pc when I was a little nooblet, nad sony were so cheap that they decided to rip out agp slots out of the already cheap custom made asus kirin-v mobo. so i am tied to a not so old, 2 year old system
