Win XP on first drive1. Win7 on drive2 (drive 1 disconnected). help

Dear All,

I have read many articles on the forum.

I have installed windows XP on drive1.
I disconnected drive 1, and installed windows 7 on drive2.
I reconnected dirve 1, looged on to my windows 7 using bios boot order, used bcdedit to create an {ntldr} entry and parition-F: (that is what my win7 disk sees) and path \ntldr, description "Windows XP"

I see the dual menu. But when I choose that option, the system just reboots and does not go to XP
Any advice as to what I have done wrong and what I should do will be greatly appreciated.

Try start/run, write msconfig and hit enter, check all paths on the boot ini tab.

Should I do this when I am logged on to Windows 7? Or should I change boot device order in the bios, and logon to winxp and then check?

Try in windows 7, boot ini is only for XP. Also you can check Control panel/system/advanced and in startup and recovery the paths.
