Im in a hurry PLEASE!

No it won't work well, and unfortunately no better than an FX5200 or R9200 PCI cards.

The cards will be bus limited, and while it will likely play, it will suck alot hard than a regular FX (even FX5200SE) and they already suck!

But if you have no other option, it's likely the only thing to do in a pinch.

And while there is a GF6200 and GF7300 out there in the wild for PCI, neither will offer any better gaming performance IMO.

i have a pci fx5500 and it will play cs 1.6 easily with 100 fps.

especially with a 2.6ghz processor you will be jsut fine for what you want to do with it.

there might even be a 9xxx series ATI card in PCI bus that would work also, but the FX5500 is jsut fine.

why would you say it wouldnt work well,

fx5500's play cs 1.6 with 99 fps (max for game) with the settings set on high *if i remember right.

cs 1.6 is not a gpu demanding game.

why would you say it wouldnt work well,

Because compare to a full AGP FX5200 it will still underperform (and these are test from that generation). The operative word here is work well, I said it would play it, everyone's definition of 'well' is different. But it's a cripple pure and simple.

FX5500AGP =/= FX5500PCI, and while the PCI will do in a pinch it isn't worth buying as a long term card. And while it may be 'OK', it's going to be terrible compared to AGP cards.

Sudhain's review illustrates this the best;

And like I said while it will play it still sucks.
Reread my post and understand what I'm saying.

ya and plus, the PCI video cards now, are worthless and junk. Reason i told him to RMA it after he was done with it, is to get his money back, i wouldnt want to keep the card myself either.
