hi im having quite a weird problem.
i recently bought a new computer but its acting really weird in one area
the sound.
orginally i used my old sound card a SB live 1024 but it acted weird coulnt install creative drivers they said i didt have any SB hardware?? so i used windows default which correctly identified the card. but then when i tried connecting to a server using ventrillo my whole system froze, i tried multipel times with the same problem.
so i thought prolly wrong with the sound card, i pulled it out and enabled the onboard sound system installed drivers etc.
now everything worked perfectly was able to use ventrillo listen to music etc. but then suddely the system would freeze forcing reboot no bsod or anything. it happend everytime efter a couple of minutes...
so i tried without both the soundcard and the MB sound and im getting no lockups or freeze and i can connect to ventrillo etc.
any suggestions?

my system is:
amd athlon x2 toledo 4400+
a8n-sli premium nforce 4
sapphire radeon x1900xt
corsair twinx2048-3200c2 2x1024
maxtor diamondmax 10 6l300r0 300gb
hiper type-r 580W psu
windows xp pro sp2
