Hi,
I have been looking around at various internet sources, but have no closer to solving a little problem of mine. This is what i wish to do: obtain a log file/analysis of modem activity showing me what programmes sent and received what information (i need to view the information as well) along with, if possible, what port was used to send and receive this data.

Im not even sure if what i need is possible asi am relatively in-experienced in this matter.

If anyone could help with some software or a guide of some sort, i would be grateful.

Thank you,
iak.

if you have a router, then there might be some logfile utility already installed that you can have forwarded to any computer in the network. I have it with my linksys BEFSR41 router;

Try sniffers/network trafic analisers. If you have windows system then try Iris. Its a shareware, and costs a LOT, but i think its the best out there and 30 day is enough to check what you need. If you have linux/bsd then you should know what to use ;) Just kidding, try then Ettercap. Wery handy tool.
