Running above board with 2x512 of mushkin pc3200 that won't push past 212, seriously crappy. Never had Abit, but anybody know good ram for this? I need 2x1gb sticks of ddr500 and around $200, could go higher for seriously good stuff. I hit 2550 on my 3500+ venice with a divider and want to run 1:1 to hit 2750, i think I can pull it cause my temps are at like 27c idle and 45c with extreme load of 3dmark05 and HL2 Lost coast on my hdtv at 1600x1200, everything enabled. So, let's hear the recomendations.

So this based off of just ocz being best or a good combo cause I know certain ram/mobo combos do real good, just not for my board.

I have the above mentioned ram, runs fine at 250 undervoltage, haven't really tried to go higher. Just wanted to run at 250 1:1

I suggested OCZ because it fit your price restriction, and it's a proven, reliable brand anyway. I'm going to be putting some OCZ DDR2-800 in my next comp, and i've put it into many systems i've built for other people as well.

Well, thanks for the tips, will not be able to purchase until the second week of August when I prob. will get a Opty 165 or the likes. I'll post back when I am all done. Hope I can hit my mark, had a nice p4 3.0e @ 3.725 that went to gf when i started this rig. I love air cooling when done right. Thanks again.

My two Raid 0 100 gig maxtors won't tell me they are dying, but a week after finally getting this f'ed up raid going, I can sure hear them now. But nice speed increase. Maybe it's just the fan controller I finally got installed. Meh.

Any benchies? I will have mostly the same rig, but smaller hdd's and 2 7600gt's in sli. Don't worry, 1 was free and I run games at 1920 x 1080 on 34" hdtv over component. So, sli does help, in my situation. Just want something to compare to when all done.

most people use corsair memory for overclocking. You need to get the quality stuff though (XMS) I have some corsair value that overclocks well for cheap ram. I can overclock up to 400 mhz on the amd x2 4200+ but i choose to leave it at a 300 mhz overclock as stability issues arise at 400

Thanks for the reply. I have 2 gigs fo corsair xms in my g/f's rig. P4 3.0E @ 3.725 stable on a p4p800-e deluxe. But it don't like my board, can't get past 2475 with that. My Muskin performs better at lower latency.

Anybody know anything about the ballistix. I heard it burns out real quick. I would perfer somthing to get me to Vista, dx10, and beyond some. Long lasting DDR500. That OCZ might just be it unless I can find something better between now a Aug.
