How many Ghz does Conroe have?

You're not wrong at all.

Overclockers in the UK has stock arriving on 24 July and I asked them about availability. They will ship BEFORE 27 July to customers, so that they can receive their order themselves on 27 July.

This is quite common practice now I think - Play.com do it all the time int he UK for games etc, and you often get a game turn up 1 or 2 days prior to release.

Just for clarification, the frequency that the CPU operates at (What you call GHz) has nothing to do with the actual performance. A 2GHz Conroe will kick ass with a 3GHz Pentium 4.
