I use a GEFORCE 2 GTS 32 MB Card. Instead of constantly having to go to "system" and "display" to change the display and resolution, is there a command line parameter to make it "High" with like 800x600, 32 bit and all that good stuff? Thanks!

to do on-the-fly resolution changes, you should use Hztool. I think it's for download on download.com

The quake d00d is here.
Get into the game, apply the settings you want and then drop down the console (you'll kill me if you don't know what a console is):

\writeconfig (name without extension)

from command prompt:
q3.exe +exec (name)
