D975XBX mobo needs ATX 12V v2.2 PSU?

I've got a Bad Axe mobo, and I read in some review (sorry, can't find link) that you need a 12V v2.2 type of power supply for this board. Is this true? I couldn't find any info regarding this on Intel's site.

I was planning to go with the Antec Sonata II case with the built-in Antec 450W 12V 2.0 power supply, but I wasn't sure this was going to work...

as long as it has a 24pin ATX plug plus an 8pin plug. I think thats what the board needs.
