Hi

Before anything, if you came here to tell me "Get a 775 motherboard or Why you want a PIII" Then please just dont answer me

Im trying to find the best 370 motherboard released. Every motherboard released I have seen have support for only ATA-100 but I saw some DFI that support ATA-133. Another thing is that most Intel chipsets only support 512mb of memory. I would like one that supports 2Gb or 1 Gb. Also with at least 3 SDRAM ports. In addition ATX Motherboard with support for Tualatin. AND A GOOD ONE FOR OVERCLOCKING. I really like Via with 133T chipsets but I dont know if they can overclock processors or they are like intel chipsets that dont let you overclock.

Can you guys help me in this research? I will really appreciate that.

They all suck. The best performing chipset so far as the CPU will be concerned is the BX, but the fastest BX Board, the Abit BX133-RAID, is still stuck with old tech. You could maybe find an i840 chipset workstation board with newer technology, but it's still going to be ATA100. Like ATA133 is really faster anyway.

You're speaking a dead language.

No but I dont want a BX motherboard. I Hate Slot-1.
and the i840 uses RD800. I hate that kind of memory too.

Any other idea?

I've got several BX 440 boards, and the best one i have(3) are the Abit BH-6. I have an MSI 6309 v5, and it overclocks well, is Tualatin compatable, has ATA100. It uses the VIA 694X(T) chipset, and gets some pretty good memory bandwidth numbers for sdram. It can handle 1.5GB RAM. The Asus TUSL2(C) is also well liked among overclockers and has the i815 chipset.

Like I said im looking for a socket 370 motherboard not slot-1. And im looking for that DFI with ata133 support but the only problem is that it has ISa ports which i hate because I dont need them.

and the problem of that asus board is that it uses i815 chipset and it can only handle 512mb ram

Ill keep looking.

Thanks tanker for your help :)

PD: I made a mistake, according to tigerdirect.com it says that the DFI CM64-AL supports ATA-133 but in the DFI site it says it doesnt. So I dont think I should believe in tigerdirect since it is only the store.

You hate BX because you hate Slot-1. And that in response to my comment about the BX133-RAID. (edited out by Tradesman1) Anyone who was simply ignorant would have looked and seen that the BX133-RAID was Socket 370.

You are the weakest link, good bye!

Well I understood that BX was only slot-1 systems now I know that is not true. You could just say it the right way. There was no need for the rest.

I could've sworn BX chipset boards where all slot 1 as well. Too bad I had to hear it from a douchebag.
