Hello there, I don't post that much here, but I do read alot. I've searched for sometimes to find hardware that, I think, suites my needs. I'm building a new PC because my old XP 2000+ is getting a little old.

I will do what I do on my current setup, which means I play games, I watch movies, I play A LOT of music that's pretty much it.

I've already bought a Radeon X1900XT, I just need to finish my new computer and I've come down to this, all prices are in CND :

Processor : AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Socket AM2 ($127.65)
Motherboard : ASUS M2N-E AM2 Nforce 570 Ultra ($121.90)
Memory : Mushkin XP2 PC2-6400 2GB 2X1GB CL 4-4-3-10 ($337.30)
DVD : Liteon SHM-160P6S DVD-RW ($45.34)
HDD : Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB SATA2 ($129.40)
PSU : Enermax EG495P-VE Noisetaker 485W ($98.77)
Sound Card : AuzenTech HDA X-PLOSION 7.1 DTS ($148.35)
Case : Coolermaster Centurion 534 ($70.95)

TOTAL : 1079.66$

Ok, now I've got a couple of questions.

1) Do you guys think that this PSU will be good for that computer, considering I'm going to plug my old Maxtor 300GB on it too?

2) For less than 1300$, could I get a decent Conroe build, and should I wait 2-3 weeks for it? I've been waiting 2 months and I'm really ready to buy.

Thanks for reading :)

Definitely wait for Conroe. With $1,300, you could get a pretty good system including an E6600 processor. And just for you to know, an E6600 combined with 2GB of RAM and an X1900XT is just really awesome man!

If you find my thread there is more discussion on going with Conroe. I will also be building a PC for around the same price so we should keep in touch.

As of this post I am working on updating the specs for that thread.
