P5N32-SLI Deluxe question...

I got one of these boards and installed it only to have it DOA. Or so I thought. I've been reading about how it won't support a Pentium D 940 out of the box without a BIOS update. I'm using a Pentium D 940 3.2 Ghz processor, with 4 GB of Corsair DDR2 RAM. The mobo Revision is 1.02. I was going to RMA this board, but now, I'm going to have it tested to make sure. I'm also having the RAM and CPU tested just to make sure.

If anyone knows anything about this problem, or any problem with this board, please tell me. It'll take about 3-4 weeks for my RMA board to get to me (I'm stationed in Korea), so any help is appreciated.

According to ASUS, that boards will only support D 940 RevB1 with BIOS 0308 or above, D 940 RevC1 with BIOS 0310 or above.

Try borrowing a different CPU off one of those nice North Korean people. 8O

The box can come with the new bios with suport for 8xx and 9xx CPUs but only if the box has a little red sticker that says it has the new bios installed on it.

I am getting my P5N32 today and I am really hoping mine comes with the "little red sticker"

Has anyone heard of or seen any RAM issues with this board?

Its been a few months now and most of the P5N32 SLIs should have the little red sticker!

I know that most PC shops have stoped selling the MB..... I think that they had too many returns due to bios heat issues, PCIes not working etc etc.....

Once you DO get this MB working.... its sweet.....

I just got my P5N32-SLI-Deluxe motherboard yesterday from newegg and it did not come with a red sticker indicating a newer BIOS. I have not gotten a chance to turn my machine on but I will let you know what version BIOS it is running once I do.

Windows XP is installing right now and everything seems to be running fine.

The P5N32-SLI Deluxe board did not come with a sticker as I mentioned earlier but it does have the 0310 version BIOS which is good for all of those people wanting to run the Pentium 9xxD processors. So do not be alarmed if your box does not have the sticker, it should have the newer BIOS.
