I recently purchased the D-Link <A HREF="http://www.dlink.com/products/?pid=63" target="_new">DI-704P</A> to hook up my two computers together and to have a print server. One computer uses Windows ME and the other uses Windows 2000. Upon hooking the computers to the switch I was able to share files with no problem. Then I hooked up the print server, and here is where the problems started. I use an HP Photosmart 1215 printer. The computer with Windows ME has no problem using the printer, it prints just fine. The computer with Windows 2000 would not. I went to D-Links FAQ on their support page and found <A HREF="http://support.dlink.com/faq/view.asp?prod_id=794" target="_new">this</A> and followed the instructions. It will still not print. I looked at more FAQ and found a HP printer compatability question, but this is not the issue because the computer with Windows ME prints fine. And now I also get a error message in the computer with Windows 2000 the says " Windows - System Error. The system has detected an IP address conflict with another system on the network. The local interface has been disabled. More details are available in the system event log. Consult your network administrator to resolve the conflict." I do not get this mesage on the computer with Windows ME. And now I can't share files either. If anyone knows a way of resolving this it would be appreciated.

What are the ip address of all the computers and printer on the network. It sounds like the ip of the printer and the win 2000 machine are the same.
