Additional Memory..

newbie here..

if I already have an existing 512mb chaintech apogee 667 and I owuld like to add another 512mb but this time from geil, is it ok to add memory even with different brands?

also, is it ok to have my first 512mb stick is a 667 and the other 512mb stick that im gona add is 533 only..?

mixing ram brands isn't really a smart idea..... always safer for compatibility reasons to get ram of the same brand (and even better.... same model). mixing ram speeds isn't smart either..... the 667 stick would slow down to 533, which defeats the whole purpose of having the 667 stick to begin with.
