Hello all-
This is directed mainly at new players to Morrowind.
Advice; -invest in a guidebook. ALL and I do mean ALL of your questions
will be answered in the guidebook. It is the ONLY guidebook I have found to
be worth the money. I have wasted lots o' cash on guidebooks to other games.
The Morrowind guidebook is incredibly comprehensive, funny, helpful,
complete, and worth every penny. It will enable you to enjoy the game soooo
much more. It tells about things and quests you never would know without the
book. It is NOT a cheat, it is just the optimum way to play this most
excellent game. Anything that adds to your pleasure has to be good.

My advice: don't waste money on a guidebook. Instead, download some of
the free guides, FAQs, and walkthroughs from
http://www.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/game/3365.html

And, you may want to check out the online game guide at
http://www.gamespot.com/gamespot/gameguides/all/morrowind
which includes detailed area walkthroughs.

The OP should have said at the beginning *the* guidebook, from Bethesda.
About $20. To me, it was a better purchase then some $20 games I have
wasted money on. Some of the info is stuff that used to be included in
game manuals with the game. Downloading takes time, and printing stuff out
so you can refer to it while playing costs too, but one can find out things
not in the guidebook. So I think both resources can be useful.

Of all of the testimonials offered in this thread, yours is the best.

My advice? Buy the game. Get as much out of it as you can. Then, when the
game starts to become boring, start a new character and invest in a
guidebook.

I recently bought the GOTY edition guide book (my original Morrowind guide
book was so well loved it was losing pages) from Amazon or Barnes and Noble
on line. Can't remember which. It's worth a try. Even if you don't have
the GOTY edition (which I don't) it tells you which parts are applicable to
the GOTY edition plus you get the Tribunal and Bloodmoon guidebook. Haven't
used those portions yet, but I'm sure I will.

Try buying it on line! The guide book is an absolute must have!

I can't find any edition of this book on either Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
Do you have the ISBN?

I just did a search on Amazon and B&N and didn't find it either. Sorry. I
am totally stumped. I know I bought it from one or the other just a few
months ago. The ISBN on the book is 092984332-0. Prior to responding to
this I searched for a good 45 minutes and couldn't come up with another site
selling this book. Bummer and sorry! B&N is selling used editions of the
first Morrowind guide book. Which is a HUGE help in the game. But, the
GOTY guide book is sooo much different. Most of all it includes the add
ons, which as I said, I have yet to fully explore. But for Morrowind itself
the original guide book is still an absolute must have. I only bought the
other, as I said, because my original was very well loved. I was taping
pages in to keep from losing them. However, the end result is I can't
provide you with anything but the ISBN. So, so sorry! I did do a minimal
search of the Morrowind home page. I was frustrated and so gave it up, but
they may be selling it or can refer you to an active web site that does.

Sorry again and wishing I could be more helpful,

Jenn

| Sorry again and wishing I could be more helpful,

Don't worry, Andy posted the URL to Amazon's page. Don't know
how he found it, though. I've tried searching on Morrowind,
Morrowind Guide, Morrowind Guidebook and the ISBN, without
any relevant hits. Looks like their search is too darn complex;
it can lookup items by words used in the middle of a book, but
not by words in the title!

Will Amazon not mail a book to Australia?

Is it a matter of the language barrier? ;-)

More likely a matter of there being an Amazon UK.

They probably refuse to compete with themselves.
And if yours doesn't carry it, your out of luck.
I've run into similar weirdness with Comp Usa and
Office Depot.
