Hello,

I own an ATI x800 xl and was considering upgrading to an X1900 gt card. But I was wondering if it is worth the upgrade? and second what is the differences between the x1900 gt and the xt and xtx. Is there a big difference as far as frame rate and so forth a such games as Half Life 2 and FEAR? Also is there a vga chart that shows the frame rate differences between the 3 x1900 cards? I couldnt find it on the website. Thanks

Do not get the X1900GT, it's not worth it.

X1900XT and X1900XTX are basically the same, the XTX has slightly higher clock speeds. Not worth spending the extra $100. The X1900XT is the best choice from those three.

the X1900GT has 36 pixel shaders, 16 rops, 8 vertex shaders, for a 36/16/8 configuration with lower clock speeds and 256mb of memory, its also not gonna be based on the R580 core anymore its gonna be a new chip R570XT core.

X1900XT/XTX has a 48/16/16 configuration, higher clock speeds and 512mb of memory and is still based on R580 core.

If your not hardcore or don't really care much for the cost of the X1900XT, the X1900 AIW(All-in-Wonder) is a 48/16/16 configuration, with lower clock speeds and 256mb of memory, based off of R580 core + it offers Tivo functions and ability to watch t.v. on your PC, but is not Crossfire capable.

Choice is yours.
