I am planning to buy either v400 OR v220 with cingular wireless. Which
one is better? These are the things i like to have..
-External caller ID (picture caller id would be nice)
-strong signal strength
-camera with zoom
-longer talk time

If you have used either one of them, please post your views.

Thank you

Sam

I looked at both and went with the V400. The V220 was a bit too tiny
for my hands, and for my wife's as well. Just didn't feel right.

I have very good signal strength where I work using the V400 and
Cingular. Previously I had used AT&T with a SE T616 with okay-to-poor
reception and a V300 with T-Mobile with virtually no signal indoors at
work. Looking at the phone right now, I have four bars. With T-Mobile
I would have either zero or one, if I was lucky. With AT&T I had two
usually.

Camera with zoom is better than my old SET616, talk time is perfectly
fine for me. I usually charge a couple times a week. External caller
ID is good, but no picture.

The V400 has picture ID but you have to open the phone to see it.

Two obvious differences. The v.400 has a larger screen and almost triple
the memory. For many people not into having myriad ringtones and
pictures on their phone, the memory of the v220 is ample.

That's pretty sad. I regularly get "Memory full" messages on my V400.
I'm glad I don't have a v220.

Which also would include not taking many pictures with the camera cause that
eats memory too.

I bought a V400 for myself, and my wife chose a V220. She took hers back
the next day and exchanged it for a V400 like mine. Side-by-side, the
V400 wins for display size and clarity.

It's only slightly bigger, and my wife wanted a smaller phone. She's
much happier with the better display.
