Folks,

When my hard disk is fresh from factory, the BIOS is able to recognize perfectly. Then start to Windows XP installation. As usual, the CD copies to hard disk then it will reboot for further step. However after my reboot, even the BIOS could not finish initialization. It stops at (something similar with) harddisk check .. OK
(if my recollection is accurate, BIOS POST starts with memory, then floppy then DVD rom then harddisk).

I found a way to run Seagate "Seatool" .. Thanks to hot-plugable SATA disk. So, I removed the sata for BIOS initialization, then plug it. It says normal, no bad sectors, etc. In short, PASS. I cannot run Seagate DiscWizard starter ed, in purpose of formatting (low level), as this software always ask the drive to be attached since the very beginning (not hot plug).

Kindly have your kind comment and solutions.

Tq in advance.

Specs:
Mobo: P5LD2-VM DH (bios updated to 304, latest), HD: Seagate SATA 320 GB.
