Reviews seem to be pretty good and THG liked the new one. I like the modular cable design. Anyone put one in a Antec p180? Any other difficulties?

supposedly a good PSU, the Antec NeoHE 500w delicvers more amperage on the 12v though.

Personally, I like everything about the Hyper except one thing, the low efficiency rate. They have gotten better then they were years ago, but they still rate below Antec, Seasonic, Enermax. I think I'd go for an Enermax if you want modular design with a higher efficiency rate.

Thanks. Originally I had an Enermax on my wish list, but keep reading forum posts discussing a decline in their quality. Maybe just message board nonsense but quite a few stories on thesse boards alone.

I have a Hiper-R 580W in my Gigabyte 3D Aurora case. I found it easy to setup and easy to route the cables. The modular design on the cables works and I have had no trouble with this PSU. It is also very quite and cool looking when its on. I'm glad I bought it.

i just bought one (a week ago) and its been working great (as in it turns on and works lol)

it seems fine, comes nicely packed and is MODULAR-

it is not the most efficcient or probalby made real high end sli machines.....

BUT if you are looking for a psu around a hundred bux, i dont think you can go wrong with this psu

good bang for buck,

my advice is get one, but if you are doing like dual 7900gtx or something ridicuouls like that id spend more money on a psu than 100

NeoHE is still better, my opinion.

Quality goes like this, best to worst...
Antec TruePower series > NeoPower > SmartPower

So yes, the TruePower series is the best Antec has to offer...

I also have a Hiper type R (chrome). My only issue is the secondary pci-e connector. You have to plug it into 2 4-pin leads to hook it up. It's not a big deal for me right now, as I only have one vid card. If you are going SLI or Crossfire, I might look for one with 2 dedicated pci-e leads. Otherwise, mine performs well- super quiet. And it's shiny.
