hey guys sold my SLI graphics cards.. now I need a new one.. price range below $300. I want to do SLI eventually but cant fit GTX in my computer. I was looking at this..

eVGA 7900GT KO SuperClocked

but i have read and heard that there hav been problems with them. Overheating, crashing in a month.. so would you recommend..

1. buy the eVGA and try my luck (i can always RMA it)

2. Look for something else..

WHAT DO YOU SAY!?? help a bother out

I cant get a card that takes up two slots like that.. my PCI-EXPRESS 16x slots are close together.... so I have to go with a smaller heatsink/fan.

i just got my eVGA 7900GT KO SuperClocked 580/1580 yesterday and will be installing it as soon as my case arrives(day late thanks to ups) today. they have resolved the issue with the newest cards they are sending out so even if you get a bad one they'll replace it with one from the new run and cross ship.

Two of these would give you 1 gig of DDR3 for $$330.00. Should fit in your Epox SLI board.

well what about the eVGA 7900 GT KO with 512mb of memory or the eVGA 7900 GT KO SuperClocked with 256mb memory and faster mhz?

I'm using a 20" widescreen 1680 x 1050 with two EVGA 7600's in Sli. Works well. I'll put two EVGA 7800GT's in here this week when my new card arrives from the Ebay warehouse. Then I'll put these two cards in a new EPOX SLI board like yours except it is the 754 version. I've been sizing everything up to put it together. Haven't got my Zalman Fatality CPU cooler in yet. I'm hoping to get that on there. I have a Zalman 9500 and it fits pointing to the back of the case. It'll work fine if the Fatality won't fit, which it should. I have two gigs of the tall Corsair PRO XMS RAM. That fits with the 9500. So, I'm getting ready to rumble.

Didn't your two 6800GS's have 256mb DDR3 each. I suppose the second card with the 512 RAM is the better card, but it also has the better price. I have never used 7900GT. Only a 7800GT. The 7800GT is great. I'll be replacing that with an ATI card. It has to fit on my ASUS Micro board in a Micro case, so that whole project is really Micro. Anyway, the GT's you are looking at should be a step up from the two Gs's.

Oh and if I run in to trouble, I'm givin' these guys a call. My girlfriend kinda makes me do the puppet thing. I like it. Have a great day:
