RAM prices almost traded like oil futures and change daily. There is no real way to predict what is going to happen to them.

Why are RAM prices so Volital?

They're a big commodity, but demand fluctuates all the time. They're more unpredictable than volatile, though. Over time, costs for the then-current chips drop; older chips may plunge if the demand for them suddenly drops in favor of the new stuff, or could even rise if people don't switch over as quickly as expected and demand more of the older stuff while its supply is dropping.

if you are on a budget get the ram now if it is on sale; otherwise, the prices will not rise drasticly. if you can get it now on sale, but it now; if you cant, just get it with the rest of your system
