I have 2 7900GTXs in SLi, and whenever i open a game, i get 2 lines on the left side of my screen, with a green box that expands and contracts inside the column, and at the top right of the column it says SLi. Does anyone know how to get rid of this or has anyone else had this in the past? All advice and help is greatly appreciated.

the green box i think indicates the processing use of the gfx card, so how would i get rid of it?

Man you are stupid help the man if you can :x don't be a retard

You may check the SLI tab in the NVidia Driver Menu, I think the option it's called "SLI Performance Graph" or something like that. Disable it!
I'm sorry if I'm not very helpful, but I'm not familiar with SLI. I remeber I read it somewhere, whether in THG or here in the forums.
Good luck!

Good! What was the solution, for future reference? The one that Fursecul mentioned?

LOL!

Actually I partial agree with the sentiment of GF7950 owner heal thy self, therefore didn't post what I've already posted like 4-5 times before (handy search function out there and google). No point in tormenting the guys without at least hinting at an answer.

Anywhoo for future reference again it's the 'show load balancing' checkbox in the drivers.

I would have offered help, just need to get me an SLI setup first :D

No it was what multipletic said, but like i previously stated, i found it about a day ago, and my concerns have slimmed down a good amount now. (wipes sweat off forehead in relief)

For that comment, I will flame you every time that you post. The search function allows you to "search for author". If you don't have any ideas of how to solve the problem, don't reply.

lol you are one of these "experts" who think that SLI or CF is a waste and provides worse performance than single cards aren't you. you will have never used either but will post rubbish anyway.

if he had bought 2 7800's in SLI when the 7900 was available then yes he wouldn't be smart but for nvidia users SLI'd 7900's are the best you can get now.

No, its just not fair that he gets to have 7900 GTX in SLI and i dont because i dont live in the US anymore.
Also, buying a 7900 GTX is the stupidest thing on earth, but dont except for me to tell u why cause it took me a long time to figure it out.

Aww, sucks to be you then. I live in the UK, and I can get em. I'm pretty sure you can get them ANYWHERE in the world too, just use your handy dandy internet connection, and order them online. But dont expect me to tell you that, as it took me ages to work it out....

Worked up? Hardly. But I'm still waiting on this mystical magical information to appear. Either that, or you just get filed under '9-Inch, BaronMatrix and other assorted FUD Flingers'.

Reply to Cabletwitch

I think track is just quite jealous of what i can afford. Anyways, thanks for the help.

i'm waiting for the HDR and AA thing to come up. i bet thats the secret that he has worked out :P

Reply to strangestranger

Hmmm, no response. I guess he ran off to join the other FUDdies in their cave. HDR isnt everything, it has to be said, I'd rather have a decent framerate than eye candy (I have a 6600 AGP myself, so framerate is key here)
