KN8 SLI and Opteron...ok?

Hi All,

I am building an AMD dual core system with a KN8 SLI and am debating between the X2 Chip or an Opteron... I know the board will support the X2 but will it support the Opteron?

When the imfamous "price drop" occurs in a few weeks I want to pack the best dual core I can afford into this beast..
