I bought one of those 3rd party black ink cartridges for my Canon
printer and it ruined the black print heads because the ink gummed up
inside. I tried cleaning the print head with Isopropyl alcohol but the
head is ruined. I'll never buy a 3rd party cartridge again, and now I
have to buy a new printer too. Well, I could order a new print head
from Canon but it would be just about as cheap to just replace the
printer. It's not an expensive model.

And to balance Measekite's bias this came from our own NG (Spamkiller):

"Basically, now after about 4 months of using a new printhead with ONLY
canon inks, i have a printhead clog (with one of the "reddish" colors,
either photo magenta or magenta, whichever one comes up as letter "E"
in the nozzle check pattern or print alignment pages)."

I would like to see the URL or any proof that this is a legit post.

It's just another one of manufactured lies. He has no idea concerning
3rd's at all.
This person really needs psychological help. He fills his empty life by
posting his lies to this ng.

public relations and lobbying in general for the industry he promotes.

...but to be honest it means little. I've had a cart from my printer
manufacturer mess up my printer.
