Have a 19" Sharp monitor, run by a ATI 9800 Pro 128MB DDR ram.
The appearance of Morrowind is overly large and Feel sure that I am
missing some view because of the default settings.

Anyone assist this old man?

Start the Morrowind Launcher from your StartMenu. Select Options to
change to your desired resolution.

You should try MW and your desktop at the same resolution.

Try following these steps:

1) Launch Morrowind from Icon. You will see the small startup "splash
screen" or some may call it "autorun screen."

2) Select "Options" from this screen. DO NOT SELECT "PLAY."

3) A new program will come up. Find the second drop list which is
called "Resolution."

4) Select a new resolution in this drop list. Try 1024x768 at first.

5) Make sure the resoution you selected is dispalyed in the droplist
and press or "click" on the "OK" button.

6) Now, select "Play" from the splash screen.

I believe MarkB means a higher resolution, for example 1024x768
To change your screen resolution open the Control Panel from the
StartMenu, open the Display Settings, switch to the Settings Tab
and move the resolution slider to the right and click on the
Apply- or OK-Button.
(I can only hope that all these names are correct; I'm using a
German version so I just translated them.)
After that try to change the Morrowind resolution again.
