I have an Asus DRW-1608P2S DVD-RAM drive. The drive itself seems to work fine, at least within Windows x64. My only problem is that I can't get iTunes to recognize the drive. I've tried upgrading the firmware and upgrade iTunes to the latest version I can. (6.0.5 won't install on an x64 system)

Anyone have any ideas?

To be perfectly honest with you, I don't use iTunes for anything. I need it to burn a CD because my girlfriend uses iTunes.

In addition, if you don't have anything constuctive to add to the topic, keep your thoughts to yourself. The world thanks you.

C. A & B work fine. It burns fine within Windows X64 too. iTunes says that no supported drives are found under burning preferences.

I tried several dvd-ram in my pc and all of them worked fine with itunes. I don´t think firmware it´s the problem, but some sh*tty thing to do with xp64. Try to upgrade to the latest itues version. But I doubt this will solve the problem. :?
