I'm working in a Novell environment with several users that also authenticate
to an AD server. The issue we have on the helpdesk is that we need a way to
reset passwords and unlock accounts on the AD. Our users are Win2K and the so
are the AD servers. No one on the helpdesk logs into AD right now so it would
be nice if we didn't need to login to AD on the helpdesk to do resets if
possible. This is an attempt to make it faster than the current way of
sending tickets to the AD admin who typically takes 4 hours to change/unlock
accounts. Thanks.

You can install adminpak.msi on the helpdesk PC. This tool will
install Administrative Tools as AD servers have. And then helpdesk
guy can access AD Users and Computers from his own PC. Don’t forget
to secure permission on the Active Directory, define who can read,
write, delete and change permissions.
