Hello,

I am having a big problem, I am using Windows 7 enterprise modified like windows 8 and my CD ROM DRIVE is not showing up in my computer. My cd boots when starting up but not showing on my computer. I have went into cmd prompt > regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control > Class > {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}(CD ROM CLASS) and there was no uperclass filter or lowerclass filter available so I could delete them.

I will be really happy if you could tell me anything else I could try to get my CD ROM DRIVE back.

Thanks in advance.

Flannybhoy.

I downloaded it a few days ago from somewhere and it said w8. I thought it was maybe the w8 beta and downloaded it and it was windows 7 enterprise so I looked back to where I downloaded it from and it said it was modified like w8.

Hey! your modified W8 is just a customization in visual(like theme) of W7.
So i think you must remove these modification to get better performance may be it fix your problem. If nothing happen then continue the thread.
