I'm looking at buying a E6600 Conroe and 7950X2, but looking at the NVidia site, I cant find any mobo's I like that are compatible. I like the look of the Asus p5wdh deluxe, which is crossfire compatible, but no info on the 7950x2.

Can anyone help?

The FX7950x2 will work in either a SLI board or a Crossfire board...Of course that is assuming only one video card will be used. The interconnect for the two processors on this one card is independent of the interconnect technology of the motherboard.

Of course if you wanted to put in a second FX7950x2, then you would not be able to run them together - as they would require SLI to interconnect them and you would have a Crossfire board.

Still - if you want the power of a standard SLI, at a lower cost - then this will work for you.

I would suggest using a lesser card for the initial build - and to wait for the FX8K series to come out - but that is speculation on my part.

Cheers.
